Head of Operations – Asset Management

Our client is an Asset Management firm who are looking for a Head of Operations to oversee and provide support for their Hedge Funds, External Asset Management (EAM) and Family Office business lines.

This role will be involved in the set up of new fund structures, working with the outsourced Fund Administrators on all NAV reconciliations, and driving best practice and process efficiencies. Could suit an experienced Head of Operations, or an ambitious Operations Manager looking to take a step up – prior Asset Management/Buyside Ops experience would be desirable.

Key responsibilities

Oversee and manage a team of Operations staff
Responsible for the onboarding of funds, External Asset Management (EAM) and Family Office clients.
Oversee the subscription/Redemption and Fund Administration of the internal Funds.
Reconciliation of NAV of the internal funds, dividends and independent trading signals verification generated from the in-house proprietary trading models.
Responsible for trade support of the EAM operations.
Oversight of regulatory reporting and internal reporting requirements.
Leading the setup of new fund structures, and where necessary, drive co-ordination between internal and external stakeholders (including Auditors and Fund Administrators)

Role requirements

10 years of working experience in Buy Side Operations.
Strong project management / change management mindset with experience of driving operational excellence
Knowledge of Excel VBA or Python would be advantageous but not essential
Ability to communicate in spoken Chinese so as to be able to speak to Chinese-speaking counterparts
