Head of Product Control – FX/Rates/Bonds

Our client is a Hedge Fund who are looking for a Head of Product control to oversee a small team of Product Controllers, ensuring a robust controls environment, and partnering closely with the Front Office / PMs on strategic business initiatives.

This role will lead a newly created function, focusing primarily on the Macro Markets – including FX, Rates, Bonds and Repos.

Key responsibilities

Lead a team of Product Controllers in Macro Markets managing generation of profit and loss and market risk reports.
Generating profit and loss and market risk reports on the portfolio on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Ensure and maintain a robust financial controls framework through regular review, updating and maintenance of financial policies and procedures, also ensuring accuracy of financial statements
Manage valuations of complex FX and Interest Rates products.
Work closely with Regulators across jurisdictions and other external parties such as tax consultants and external auditors.
Ensure financial compliance and regulatory reporting per jurisdiction as may be necessary.

Role requirements

CA or CPA with Bachelor of Accountancy/ Finance or ACCA
15 years’ experience, including prior experience in a Product Control function, with knowledge of accounting and valuation for products including Bonds, FX and Interest Rate derivatives
