Our client is a multinational company that provides global investment banking firm that operates in several key areas within the financial industry. The company is headquartered in New York. They are looking for a Database Developer/ Architect to join their Bangalore regional team.

Key responsibilities

  • Designing logical and physical database models based on business requirements, ensuring data integrity, efficiency, and scalability Troubleshoots network problems.
  • Developing and implementing database structures, including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, and functions using SQL (Structured Query Language) and database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MongoDB
  • Identifying and resolving performance issues by optimizing database queries, indexes, and database configurations to ensure optimal performance and response times.
  • Planning and executing data migration projects to transfer data between different database systems or versions while minimizing downtime and ensuring data consistency and integrity.

Role requirements

  • More than 8+ years of work experience in software development.
  • Should have hands-on experience with DB2.
  • Good knowledge of performance tuning.
  • Should possess good architectural knowledge on the database.
  • Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux/Scripting.
  • Exposure to PowerBI, Snowflake is desirable.
  • Exposure to Test and Behavior Driven Development in agile setup is a huge plus.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to learn the business domain and partner with stakeholders to specify new business features.
  • Strong analytical capability and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or relevant technical degree.
