Head of Information Technology

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Information Technology to join our client who is a prominent player in the maritime industry. You will be responsible to lead the IT strategy and service delivery to support business goals, manage projects efficiently, oversee the business-IT relationship, coordinate demand and supply planning, and prioritize IT initiatives aligned with business strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives, fostering innovation and maximizing ROI.
  • Lead and manage the IT department, ensuring efficient solution delivery and support services.
  • Oversee all aspects of IT management, including supplier relations, solution delivery, security, finance, and workforce.
  • Facilitate project delivery by balancing priorities, resources, and risks, while providing leadership to the team.
  • Stay informed about technology trends and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to prioritize application needs and projects.
  • Manage IT expenditures, handle crisis situations, and ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Information Technology or related field.
  • Extensive managerial experience exceeding 10 years.
  • Over 12 years of experience in Solution and Service Delivery.
  • Proficient in translating business vision into IT objectives and programs.
  • Strong understanding of core IT areas, business processes, and IT supplier landscape.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT Budgeting, Demand Management, and fostering internal business relationships for over a decade.
