Key responsibilities

  • The project management officer (PMO) is responsible for planning, executing and managing delivery of projects in support of risk and legislative aspects of E-Commerce business.
  • Perform project management coordination across various key projects, focusing on mitigating the regulatory and legislative threats and maintaining “culture of compliance” for E-Commerce business. (Specifically, manage daily project operations, prepare reports and brief leadership / key stakeholders on project status and milestones as required)
  • Plans and oversee the preparation and dissemination of project communications (with top-level management, project sponsors, and cross-functional stakeholders)
  •  Assure appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained for the project implementation
  • Manage performance standards for multi-functional projects/programmes to deliver end results to time, cost and quality standards
  • Know how to keep up to date. Develop a framework for tracking and updating applicable risks.
  • Help colleagues in our business teams to make appropriate and accountable risk decisions
  • Establish a good understanding of the regulatory framework and obligations of our E-Commerce business and the reason for these obligations, as well as potential areas of reputational or policy risk
  • Review proposed business actions (including business, marketing and product requests, external communications etc) and the risk advice provided by specialist teams, and provide risk acceptance recommendations to business in the light of that advice.
  • Make sure every risk acceptance decision has a clear and appropriate owner and is properly recorded
  • Ensure that the overall risk profile of the business is visible, transparent to leadership and in line with the proper risk appetite from time to time.
  •  Maintain an up to date and accurate register of the risks faced by our business in core markets
  •  Summarize the risk profile of the business in a useful and transparent way
  • Call out any risks that are inconsistent with the business’s risk appetite, including second-order or aggregated risks

Role requirements

  • Have over 8 years of corporate work experience with + 5 years’ experience in project management related roles with business/consulting/strategy/operation background
  • BS / MS in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Familiar with e-commerce, having a certain understanding of the control rules and laws of the e-commerce industry is a plus
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing. Able to converse, read and write in Mandarin
  • Being flexible in the application of project management methodologies to each specific initiative and being skilled at a consultative approach to balancing the needs of cross-functional key stakeholders
  • Highly organized self-starters, adept at managing shifting priorities and deadlines in a dynamic and decentralized environment.
