NOC Engineer

We’re helping our client in identifying skilled professionals for building out and operating their facilities in Mumbai (India), Singapore, Jakarta (Indonesia), Hong Kong and Taiwan.

 

This role will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and maintaining the overall health and performance of data center networks, systems, and infrastructure. This role involves ensuring uninterrupted operation of critical systems and responding promptly to any incidents or issues that may arise.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitoring data center infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and applications, using monitoring tools and systems.
  • Responding to alerts and incidents, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions to restore service as quickly as possible.
  • Performing routine health checks and proactive maintenance tasks to prevent issues and optimize performance.
  • Escalating complex or critical issues to appropriate teams or vendors for resolution, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and security specialists, to resolve incidents and implement changes.
  • Documenting incidents, resolutions, and procedures in a knowledge base or ticketing system to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Participating in on-call rotations and providing after-hours support as needed to maintain service availability.
  • Continuously monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of monitoring tools, processes, and procedures, and recommending improvements as necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with security policies and standards, including access controls, incident response, and data protection.
  • Providing timely and accurate updates to stakeholders, including management, customers, and other teams, regarding the status of incidents and service disruptions.

Role requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 8 years experience in the related field of work.
  • Experience in working with data-centers.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
