We’re helping our client in identifying skilled professionals for building out and operating their facilities in Mumbai (India), Singapore, Jakarta (Indonesia), Hong Kong and Taiwan.

 

This role is responsible for overseeing the electrical infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient power distribution throughout the facility. The primary focus would be on maintaining uptime, optimizing energy usage, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems, including power distribution units (PDUs), backup generators, transformers, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
  • Conducting regular inspections and audits of electrical equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical problems, such as voltage fluctuations, circuit overloads, or equipment failures, to minimize downtime and maintain service availability.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to design and implement improvements to the electrical infrastructure, such as capacity upgrades or efficiency enhancements.
  • Implementing preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of electrical equipment and reduce the risk of unexpected failures.
  • Monitoring power consumption and implementing energy-saving measures to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation of electrical systems, including schematics, maintenance records, and operating procedures, to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA, NEC, and local building codes, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to other teams, including facilities management, operations, and security, on electrical-related matters.
  • Participating in emergency response and disaster recovery activities to mitigate the impact of power-related incidents on data center operations.

Role requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in the related field of work.
  • Experience in working with leading global data-centers.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
