Project Manager – Design and Construction

Key responsibilities

• Collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements, and developing project plans, schedules, and budgets accordingly.
• Managing the selection and procurement of design and construction consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers, and overseeing their work to ensure compliance with project goals and specifications.
• Leading the design process, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural design, and coordinating the development of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Conducting regular design reviews, meetings, and workshops with project team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment of design intent and client expectations.
• Managing the construction process, including bidding, contracting, scheduling, and quality control, to ensure that construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to contractual requirements.
• Monitoring construction progress, tracking milestones, and resolving issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction phase to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Conducting regular site inspections, safety audits, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Facilitating communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners, to ensure that project goals and objectives are achieved.
• Managing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and submittals, to ensure that project records are accurate, up-to-date, and well-organized.
• Providing leadership, guidance, and support to project team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to project success.
• Participating in project closeout activities, including commissioning, testing, and turnover to operations, to ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
