Key responsibilities

  • General corporate and commercial matters such as loan agreements, lease agreements and employment matters
  • Establish and manage relationships with external legal firms
  • Oversight of legal risks across various functions and business divisions
  • Update on new laws and regulations and alert impacted divisions/functions
  • Provide full legal support to various entities in both Singapore and overseas jurisdictions, in respect of a broad spectrum of matters, including but not limited to rendering legal advice and handling legal agreements including mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures

Role requirements

  • Degree in Law from a recognised University
  • At least 10 years post-qualification experience in practice and/or in-house
  • Possess excellent legal analytical skills, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Commercial-minded, strong business acumen to understand business goals and strategy
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
  • Good initiative, able to drive projects, and possess a strong sense of accountability
  • Strong experience in negotiating, drafting, and executing commercial contracts
  • Experienced in infrastructure project development in energy industry and advising on strategic and complex legal matters is an added advantage
  • Experienced in infrastructure project development and advising on strategic and complex legal matters.
  • Prior experience working for EPC firms will be advantageous in this role
  • Experience in corporate secretarial matters will be advantageous
  • Independent and able to lead with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
  • A good team player
