Corporate Strategy Manager (M&A)

Our client is a renowned MNC operating in multiple geographies globally.  They are now looking to hire a Manager, Strategic Business Development. This role will focus on Mergers and Acquisitions, Transaction Advisory, Financial modelling for deals advisory. You will provide guidance and support the leadership team on Business Development and M&A Activities and assist in formulation of group’s strategy and internal evaluation of portfolio assets.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the evaluation of projects and provide recommendations on merger and acquisition (M&A) prospects to senior leadership and the governing body.
  • Supervise the comprehensive due diligence process for M&A targets, covering financial, tax, legal, operational, IT, and other relevant areas. Analyze due diligence outcomes and address associated risks effectively.
  • Develop and review financial models to assess M&A opportunities, coordinating with various internal departments to gather essential data.
  • Examine legal agreements with the assistance of both internal and external legal advisors, incorporating an understanding of regulatory requirements into the deal structuring process.
  • Lead or support the negotiation of commercial and legal terms with the parties involved in transactions.
  • Compile and deliver presentations for project approval as needed.
  • Manage and coordinate the organization-wide objectives setting and reporting processes, adhering to strategic performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the strategic management of the company’s asset portfolio to meet organizational objectives.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with joint venture partners and key stakeholders, both internal and external, to advance strategic projects.

Role requirements

  • Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Min 6 – 10 years of relevant experience in transactions/ M&A/ corporate finance
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Financial Modelling
