Our client is a global investment solutions firm providing a wide range of investment capabilities to institutional investors, financial intermediaries, and individual investors worldwide.

 

The Mumbai office is a new set up and a key hub for global operations, supporting the firm’s technology and infrastructure needs.

 

Job Description:

As a Research and Development Analyst, you will be involved in the productionalization and maintenance of investment and risk models, signals, and analytical platforms across multiple asset classes. This role will require you to collaborate with global teams to ensure the effective delivery of critical investment insights.

 

Business Unit: Investment Division

Reporting To: Director, Quantitative Investing and Infrastructure

Shift: EMEA / UK (1:30 pm – 10:30 pm IST)

Key responsibilities

  • Model Maintenance: Ensure seamless delivery of models, signals, and exclusion lists, troubleshooting and modifying as needed.
  • Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize new databases to manage R&D data effectively in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Model Productionalization: Integrate newly developed models into production environments and conduct thorough testing.
  • Analytics Dashboards: Develop intuitive dashboards for data visualization, tailoring to user needs.
  • Ad-hoc Data Analysis: Provide specific data insights or reports based on stakeholder requests and present findings clearly.
  • Documentation: Create user guides and documentation for processes and platforms.

Role requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of programming (quant modeling) and investment experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL (R or C# a plus). Experience with DevOps tools (GitLab, Octopus Deploy) is a bonus.
  • Quantitative Skills: Strong ability to analyze large and complex datasets.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
