Accounting Lead (AVP / VP) – Global Insurance Accounting

We are seeking a seasoned Accounting Lead with extensive experience in global insurance accounting standards, specifically for Global setups. This role requires an individual who brings a robust background in transition management, accounting expertise, and the ability to integrate seamlessly into a high-performance team.

Key responsibilities

Manage and oversee accounting functions in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS; familiarity with other global accounting standards is also considered.
Lead accounting transitions effectively, ensuring smooth integration of processes in a global insurance environment.
Coordinate with stakeholders across various regions, specifically within GCC setups, to maintain alignment with local accounting practices.
Contribute to reinsurance and consulting operations as required by the business.

Role requirements

Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with minimum 12 years of relevant post qualification experience.
Extensive experience in UK GAAP accounting or equivalent global accounting standards.
Proven experience in transition management within GCC-based insurance or reinsurance environments.
Prior experience with Indian life insurance is not preferred unless previously part of GCC setups; reinsurance and consulting experience are acceptable.

Candidate Profile:

Strong background in accounting with a specific focus on insurance-related standards.
Demonstrated cultural fit for GCC-based operations; ability to adapt and integrate into the unique dynamics of Global insurance.
Preference for candidates with consulting backgrounds and / or reinsurance experience.
