Key responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Manage daily operations of the garment manufacturing facility to meet production targets and efficiency goals.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of production staff, engineers, and support personnel.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and safety among all employees.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the factory budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
- Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency gains.
Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams for timely procurement of materials and supplies.
- Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure production continuity.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all local labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Prepare for and manage compliance audits, ensuring all operational practices meet legal requirements.
Role requirements
- Degree in related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the garment manufacturing sector or in factory management
- Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and managing large teams
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies
- Proficient in production planning or manufacturing execution system
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Based in Offshore
