Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine embryology laboratory procedures, including oocyte retrieval, insemination, embryo culture, and cryopreservation.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Monitor and document the development of embryos and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in embryology and reproductive medicine.
  • Perform oocyte pick-up (OPU), in vitro fertilization (IVF), and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
  • Conduct embryo freezing and thawing, as well as embryos and blastocyst vitrification and warming.
  • Assist with hatching and preparing various culture mediums.
  • Perform embryo biopsy and other related procedures.
  • Assist the senior manager in performing quality control and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Role requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Reproductive Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an embryology laboratory; Candidate with over 5 years of relevant experience can be considered as Senior Embryologist
  • Experience with multiple Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) such as IVF, ICSI, embryo culture, and cryopreservation
  • Proficiency in handling and culturing human gametes and embryos.
  • Knowledge of embryo biopsy and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT).
  • Understanding of the IVF process, including ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, fertilization, and embryo transfer.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Good Proficiency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin (both in spoken & written)
  • Proficient in MS office applications, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
