VP – Credit Product Control

We are currently partnering with a leading International Investment Bank who are looking to hire a VP level Product Controller into their team.

This role will act as part of the control function, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of P&L and Balance Sheet reporting while providing management with insights by collaborating with traders to understand their strategies and risks – primarily across assets including Primary Syndication, Flow Credit Trading, Repo Trading, and Structured Credit.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategy to achieve profitability while supporting the bank’s long-term objectives.
  • Create and manage a performance framework with KPIs that align with the bank’s goals and promote accountability.
  • Work closely with senior finance and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial and operational strategies.
  • Leverage advanced analytics to generate insights and craft impactful narratives that support strategic decisions.
  • Lead the creation of financial models and forecasting processes to guide planning and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring consistency with strategic priorities and operational requirements.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance cost efficiency across the organization.
  • Manage and publish bank-wide scorecard metrics, offering transparent reporting on financial performance and progress toward strategic objectives.
  • Build strong partnerships across departments to improve financial acumen and performance.

Role requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in accounting. Further professional qualifications, such as CFA, CPA, CIMA, ACA would be preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years’ previous experience in Product Control, with strong technical knowledge of the credit products and their valuations (including Primary Syndication, Flow Credit Trading, Repo Trading, and Structured Credit)
