Head of Cash Operations (Private Banking/Wealth Management)

We are currently partnering with a global organization who offer banking operations services to a diverse range of international banks

They are looking to hire a Head of Cash Operations into their Operations team.

The Cash Operations team oversees the processing of cash remittances, FX/MM transactions, FX/MM derivatives, and the reconciliation of FX/MM confirmations. Additionally, the team manages secondary nostro account cash flows.

As Head of Cash Operations, this role will ensure operational efficiency and delivery of high-quality services to clients. The role involves optimizing processes, providing technical expertise, and supporting business growth through excellence in transaction processing and risk management.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Asia Cash Operations, serving as part of the Asia Operations leadership team.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, excellence, and low levels of operational risk.
  • Align the Cash Operations team with broader Operations and company objectives.
  • Act as the escalation point for Asia-based clients on all cash operations matters.
  • Drive cross-border collaboration between Europe and Asia teams.
  • Lead Operations projects and initiatives as required.
  • Enhance client service standards and contribute to improved client satisfaction and ratings.
  • Identify and propose value-added solutions to improve profitability.

Role requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in cash and FX/MM processing, including a minimum of 5 years in people management.
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Banking/Finance.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products such as remittances, FX/MM, FX/MM derivatives (e.g., exotic options, IRS, CCS, OIS, REPO), market infrastructure, regulations, and operational risks related to trade processing and settlement.
  • Familiarity with SWIFT message types.
