Head of Business Finance (Retail Banking)

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the financial performance of Consumer Banking products, including Wealth Solutions, Deposits, Mortgages, Credit Cards, and Personal Lending, by tracking, reporting, and analyzing segment performance globally.
• Collaborate with the CFO and relevant product teams to implement the global strategy, ensuring alignment with regional and market-specific finance and business teams, and monitor progress against strategic targets.
• Provide financial advisory to stakeholders on profitability, returns, and areas of opportunity while identifying risks and challenges. Perform product deep dives to enhance income and returns, and benchmark the bank’s performance against competitors.
• Support cost reviews for efficiency, and optimize loan impairments, RWA efficiency, and Basel 3.1 implementation to improve returns.
• Collaborate with the Group Accounting Policy team to offer product accounting advice.
• Manage forecasting, outlook, and monthly performance reviews while ensuring alignment across clusters, countries, and segments. Oversee the corporate planning process and coordinate with finance teams for seamless execution.
• Regularly monitor financial and non-financial value drivers in partnership with analytics and offshore teams, enabling continuous performance improvement and momentum tracking.
