Human Resources, Operations Manager

The HR Operations Manager at The Edge Contracting Services (TECS) is a newly created role to help support our rapidly expanding Contracting business in India. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to have a strategic impact on the development of this function and business division. Working closely with the Head of Contracting and India Managing Partners, this will be a critical role in managing HR processes, ensuring compliance, driving employee engagement and supporting business objectives through effective workforce management.

Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing the end-to-end contractor management process, including offer releases, background verification (BGV), onboarding, offboarding and exit formalities.
  • Ensuring efficient execution of HR functions such as payroll inputs, timesheet tracking, and statutory compliance.
  • Implementing, maintaining and managing HRIS for accuracy, compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure adherence to labour laws and industry-specific HR regulations, including those relevant to staffing and contracting firms.
  • Design and implement employee engagement strategies to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure that all HR policies align with legal and industry standards, particularly in the staffing and contracting sectors.

Role requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR, with significant experience in staffing companies and contractor workforce management.
  • A proven track record in managing HR operations, compliance and employee relations in a fast-paced environment.
  • A deep understanding of HR operations, payroll management and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and workforce management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
