Key responsibilities

  • Manage Loan and Trade Settlements: Handle end-to-end processing for loan disbursements, transfers, closures, and treasury trade settlements, including validation of trade details and timely payment processing.
  • Reconciliation and Monitoring: Reconcile cashflow schedules, monitor settlement activities, ensure timely payments, and track trade receivables, escalating discrepancies or delays as needed.
  • Communication and Coordination: Liaise with internal teams (front office, finance, treasury, risk, etc.) and external parties (custodians, banks, clearing houses) to resolve settlement and payment issues.
  • Operational Support and System Maintenance: Record trades and cashflows, prepare payment and fee notices, support account setup and UAT testing in payment systems.
  • Process Improvement and Projects: Enhance operational procedures, support system upgrades, and contribute to project initiatives and ad-hoc tasks.

Role requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of trade settlements experience in banking or financial institutions, with exposure to syndicated/bilateral loans, bonds, repos, fixed deposits, remittances, derivatives, and treasury products.
  • Skilled in interpreting credit and loan agreements to extract key operational and financial terms for accurate system setup, including rates, amortization schedules, fees, and payment instructions.
  • Strong understanding of debt financing products, credit agreements, financial markets, and the full trade lifecycle.
  • Familiar with front-to-back trade workflows, loan market conventions, and settlement cycles.
