Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners.
  • Execute route-to-market strategies to drive distribution and availability of FMCG products.
  • Ability to understand distributor needs and potentially participating in trade shows or events.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Monitor distributor performance, stock levels, and order fulfillment to ensure sales continuity.
  • Identify and act on new business opportunities to expand market reach and improve product penetration.
  • Coordinate promotional activities, product launches, and in-store activations in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Track competitor activity and market trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and resolve any trade-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and customer data using CRM tools or sales reporting systems.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and retailer engagement events as required.
  • Experience in doing B2B

Role requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, preferably with distributor or trade channel exposure.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a field-based role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
  • Possess a valid driving license and willing to travel extensively.
