VP, Financial Data Analytics

Our client is a corporate and retail bank and given their strong business process optimization and tech-driven strategies for next few years, are looking for an experienced Data Analytics professional to join their Finance Team.

This is a newly created role aimed to take a data automation approach to enable better flow of the management reporting, forecasting and other financial matters.

Key responsibilities

Identify the areas for automation and develop programs to enable better use of large sets of data and obtain required financial and regulatory reports for internal and external purposes.
Work with key team members to understand the current process flow, end results expected with a view to considerably reduce the man hours required currently.
Oversee day-to-day operations and implement continuous improvements in process and outflows. Monitor the performance and appropriately communicate any issues.
Work closely with the Finance Head and other senior stakeholders (CFO, BU leads), act as an advisor and escalation point from technology perspective

Role requirements

10+ years of experience in Data Analytics ideally gained from Financial Services business.
Excellent programming in Python, SQL and visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau).
Experience in working with Senior stakeholders and managing a small team.
Good communication skills, team player, ability to work independently.
