Sr. Manager, Treasury COO – People, Process & Operating Model

Our client, a global financial institution, is looking to hire Senior Manager – Treasury COO (Operations, People, Processes & Operating Model) professional to join their Treasury Operations team in Bangalore / Chennai. This role will play a key part in shaping the Treasury of the Future by enhancing operational resilience, optimizing costs, and building strong institutional capabilities across people, processes, and technology.

Key responsibilities

Driving cost management excellence, identifying opportunities to streamline, automate, and optimize Treasury processes.
Supporting the financial management of large BAU and investment budgets, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
Leading strategic workforce planning to create a lean, agile, and future-focused Treasury team.
Enhancing data analysis and insights to inform people and cost strategies and improve forecasting accuracy.
Implementing automation solutions for manual tasks (data entry, reconciliation, reporting) using tools like Python and VBA.
Ensuring compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and regulatory frameworks.
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, diversity, wellbeing, and talent development within Treasury COO Operations.

Role requirements

5–8 years of experience in financial services, with exposure to process re-engineering, cost optimization, or target operating model design.
Strong expertise in data analysis, cost optimization, and programme/change management.
Proven skills in stakeholder management, organizational design, and strategic workforce planning.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of VBA, Python, or R is an advantage.
Excellent communication and story-telling ability to present analytics and insights to senior leaders.
Experience within Treasury, ALM, or Balance Sheet Management is desirable.
A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities, drive change, and work collaboratively.
