Our client, a leading financial institution with a brokerage and investment bank business is looking to expand their business within the Asia Pacific region. The company is looking for Business Auditor (Associate) to join them. This role will require the candidate to be based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute internal audit assignments in line with the annual audit plan and established timelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments of assigned areas and contribute to audit scoping.
  • Evaluate business processes and workflows to identify risks, control gaps, and improvement
  • Prepare and perform audit test procedures, ensuring working papers are properly documented.
  • Draft audit findings and recommendations, and discuss them with auditees to ensure practicality
  • and relevance.
  • Assist in preparing clear and concise audit reports summarizing risks, controls, and outcomes.
  • Support ad-hoc reviews, investigations, and special audit projects as required.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 to 7 years of relevant audit, compliance, or risk management experience, preferably in financial institutions, banking, or stockbroking.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous, with good documentation and organizational abilities.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to data analytics tools (ACL, SQL, Power BI) is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, CAMS) are preferred but not mandatory
