Financial Controller (High-Frequency Trading Firm)

Key responsibilities

• Drive the firm’s financial strategy and provide meaningful input into key commercial, governance, and strategic decisions.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring strong controls, accurate reporting, and full regulatory compliance.
• Lead monthly and quarterly close processes and deliver timely, high-quality financial statements.
• Strengthen accounting systems, internal controls, and finance workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and review financial and management reports, including consolidation, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
• Manage audit, tax, and statutory matters through close collaboration with external auditors, bankers, and advisors.
• Manage vendor and procurement processes, including bill approvals, contract terms, payment cycles, and control checks.
• Prepare board-level financial presentations and deliver analytical insights to support senior-level decision-making.
• Oversee ACRA filings, corporate secretarial documentation, and governance-related compliance.
• Review and assess legal, commercial, and financial contracts to safeguard the firm’s interests and ensure regulatory and financial alignment.
