Key responsibilities

  1. Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) Coordination:
    1. Manage and update the entire PDLC workflow, from initial idea conception through to product launch. This includes:
      1. Maintaining project timelines and identifying potential risks.
      2. Organizing weekly cross-team meetings to ensure alignment between departments (Marketing, Tech Design, Supply Chain, Production).
      3. Gathering and consolidating feedback from all stakeholders involved in the process.

 

  1. Research & Insights:
    1. Conduct comprehensive market, consumer, and competitor research specifically for silk and wool/cashmere categories.
    2. Analyze seasonal trends, pricing strategies, and competitive benchmarks.
    3. Coordinate focus groups and surveys to gather buyer insights, translating findings into actionable briefs and proposals.

 

  1. Product Development Support:
    1. Assist with the creation of fabric samples and prototypes, including lab dips and strike-offs.
    2. Follow up on wear tests and gather feedback from cross-functional teams.
    3. Prepare summaries and presentations regarding product concepts and developmental progress.

 

  1. Communication & Documentation:
    1. Prepare and distribute weekly updates on the PDLC and monthly insight reports for leadership review.
    2. Ensure the accuracy of data in project trackers, timelines, and sample logs.
    3. Support the preparation of presentations for internal meetings and customer-facing interactions.

Role requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Textile/Fashion Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in product development, marketing, or operations specifically in the fashion or textile industries.
  • Familiarity with silk, wool, cashmere, or other textiles is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills required to conduct market research and data analysis.
  • Excellent project management abilities, able to coordinate timelines, resources, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with research or visualization tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with Mandarin proficiency preferred for interactions with teams in China and Hong Kong.
