Key responsibilities

  • Owning and strengthening the operational risk framework for RIS, ensuring alignment with enterprise policies, regulatory expectations, and business strategy.
  • Leading operational risk assessments (RCSAs), scenario analysis, stress testing, and tracking KRIs, incidents, losses, and remediation plans.
  • Partnering closely with Enterprise Risk, business leaders in India & the US, and global stakeholders to proactively identify and manage risks.
  • Driving risk governance activities include audits, regulatory exams, BCP/BIA reviews, and periodic RTO/RPO assessments.
  • Building, leading, and mentoring a high-performing operations risk team while fostering a strong and inclusive risk culture.

Role requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in BFSI IT/ITeS, with deep expertise (8+ years) in operational risk, internal audit, or compliance within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, methodologies, controls, and regulatory standards; exposure to the US retirements industry is a plus.
  • Proven experience working across global, matrixed organizations and influencing senior stakeholders across geographies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive complex risk initiatives end-to-end.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills, with a leadership style aligned to strong ethics, inclusion, and Principal’s core values.
