Our Client is A high-growth quantitative trading firm is looking to strengthen its Legal and Compliance capability as part of its continued expansion. The firm is open-minded on both role design and seniority and will consider hiring one or multiple headcounts depending on candidate profile and overall team fit.
These opportunities may suit candidates from circa 5 years’ experience upwards, across legal, compliance, or hybrid legal/compliance backgrounds. The exact scope and title will be calibrated based on experience and expertise.

Key responsibilities
Legal Counsel
- Typically 5–10+ years’ PQE.
- Broad in-house legal role covering both transactional and non-transactional matters.
- Exposure to multiple jurisdictions and cross-border trading activities.
- Advising on commercial agreements, regulatory matters, and general corporate legal issues.
Paralegal / Junior Legal Professional
- Support role working closely with the Global Head of Compliance.
- Assist with legal documentation, regulatory filings, internal policies, and compliance-related initiatives.
- Suitable for candidates looking to build in-house legal and regulatory exposure within a trading environment.
Compliance Officer / Senior Compliance Officer
- Typically 5–15 years’ compliance experience, ideally within electronic trading, market-making, quant trading, or trading-technology environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of exchange rules and regulatory requirements, particularly within the APAC region.
- Partner with Technology and Trading teams to enhance automated surveillance and monitoring capabilities.
Role requirements
- Strong technical grounding in legal and/or regulatory compliance matters relevant to trading businesses.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- Able to work with ambiguity and contribute to building and scaling functions as the business grows.
- Proactive, commercially minded, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
