Trading Assistant

We are looking for a Trading Assistant to support our client, a leading hedge fund, as part of their expansion plans in Asia. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate trade booking, compliance with regulatory standards, and providing daily assistance to portfolio managers. The ideal candidate will work closely with traders to facilitate seamless trade processing and uphold operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

Efficiently input trade details into the trade management system, verifying information against trade tickets and strategies for accuracy.
Act as the primary point of contact for portfolio managers by offering daily trading support, addressing inquiries, and ensuring timely resolution of trade-related issues.
Confirm trade details with internal stakeholders and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
Generate and analyze reports on trade activity, including daily summaries and exception reports. Provide insights and updates to stakeholders.
Monitor trade-related risks, ensuring compliance with internal controls. Report any anomalies to the risk management team.
Identify and implement opportunities to enhance trade booking processes, striving for increased efficiency and accuracy.
Work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and other teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the trade lifecycle.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies related to trade booking and support audits and reviews as necessary.

Role requirements

8+ years of experience in trade booking or operations in a financial support role is preferred.
Familiarity with trading systems and hedge fund operations is preferred.
Experience with Macro VBA and Python is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
