FP&A Analyst

Our client is a well-established multinational consumer goods company with a strong presence across international markets. The organization is known for its high-quality products, continuous innovation, and strong growth in the FMCG sector. With expanding operations in Malaysia, they are looking to strengthen their finance team by bringing in a capable FP&A Analyst to support business performance and strategic decision-making.

In this role, you will support the company’s financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and business analysis. This is a great opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working with data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department stakeholders to consolidate and analyse financial data.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, budget vs. actual analysis, and variance explanations to support business performance monitoring.
  • Partner with internal teams to track operating expenses, revenue trends, and financial performance against business targets.
  • Conduct financial analysis on sales performance, pricing, product mix, and cost trends to provide insights to management.
  • Assist in preparing management presentations, financial projections, cash flow forecasts, and ad-hoc business analysis.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, budgeting, financial reporting or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with financial systems or ERP tools (SAP is an advantage).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to stakeholders.
