Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for assigned hardgoods categories
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and relationship management, fostering partnerships with key manufacturers globally
  • Drive significant year-over-year cost savings and value improvement initiatives without compromising quality or supply security
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the supply base and raw material markets
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to onboard new suppliers and ensure product specifications are met
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle with suppliers, ensuring terms are favorable and risks are mitigated
  • Proactively identify and manage supply chain risks, developing robust contingency plans

Role requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive strategic sourcing experience, with a focus on hardgoods
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing sourcing categories with a global supplier base, particularly in Asia
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, and quality control standards within the hardgoods industry
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
