Director – Securities Operations (Investment Bank)

We are currently partnering with a leading global investment bank with a well-established presence across Asia Pacific and a strong strategic focus on the continued growth of its Markets franchise in the region.

They are looking to appoint a Director level candidate to lead Securities Operations across Asia Pacific, to be based in Hong Kong.

This is a senior, highly visible and business-facing role, sitting on the trading floor in close partnership with Sales, Trading and senior Markets management. The Markets business has seen substantial revenue growth in recent years, and the successful candidate will own the front-to-back post-trade operating model that supports it, with a particular focus on Fixed Income and Cash Equities, while also covering the broader range of products traded across the region. Alongside running the business-as-usual operation, the role carries a clear mandate to review and improve processes, shape the structure of the regional organisation and embed industry best practice across the post-trade lifecycle.

  • Strong familiarity with APAC market infrastructure, settlement practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Comfortable operating on a trading floor, with the credibility and presence to partner effectively with senior business stakeholders and challenge constructively where required.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across regions and functions, including Technology, Risk, Finance and Compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline; relevant professional qualifications are an advantage.
