Data Lead – Strategy (VP)

Our client is an International Bank with multiple lines of business across the region and are looking for a Data Sourcing specialist (VP) to join their Data Management Team.

This is a highly visible role that would impact the definition and implementation of data sourcing strategy for a multi-year bank wide program. Alongside engagement with Senior Stakeholders and supporting business functions.

Key responsibilities

Define overall data sourcing strategy, including documentation, and tracking of data quality issues, establishing data sourcing requirements and identifying optimal data sources.
Work with upstream data owners and partners to define the delivery mechanism to meet data requirements both tactically and strategically and establish an operating model with the business.
Work with Process teams to understand the impact of changing data flows.
Provide business ownership of data quality & data flows by providing strategic solutions.
Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling, and mitigating risks to the Group relevant to the Program’s Data Quality.
Management of an appropriate framework and procedures for monitoring, identifying, measuring, assessing, reporting, and managing compliance, regulatory, financial crime, operational and reputational risks that pertain to Data Quality.
Develop and manage a plan to communicate and engage a wide variety of stakeholder regarding the initiatives.
Building strong and collaborative relationship with a range of stakeholders in other support functions.

Role requirements

At least 10 years of experience including in depth experience in Data Sourcing within a Bank.
Strong knowledge of Finance and Risk Data would be advantageous.
Core knowledge in UK/International regulatory environment.
Strong project management skills set, with experience leading high profile Global projects.
Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate complex issue concisely.
Highly organized, resourceful in problem solving and ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong stakeholder management skills to influence business partners and deal with a variety of stakeholders across functions.
Able to work independently, with the greater team in mind and under pressure.
