Key responsibilities
Development and Enhancement of Computer Systems & Website
- Develop an effective IT roadmap to meet the company’s business objectives
- Platform and operation owner for information systems, eCommerce and electronic data processing
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for e-data and IT systems
- Collaborate with other managers to streamline business processes by leveraging technology
- Owner of IT budget & all related expenses.
Operations and Support
- Ensure availablity of IT systems (ERP, network, intranet and other platforms)
- Ensure integrity of data flow between all systems and reports
- Housekeeping: Perform regular file archival and purge for both servers, networks and sites
- Troubleshoot all technology issues and coordinate and communicate with impacted users
- Provide the upkeep, maintenance and security of networks and websites
- Ad hoc data analysis report of sales and inventory to directors
- Manage in-house/outsourced developers, system integrators and technicians
Training
- Train new users on how to perform their roles in their respective departments as it relates to the Information Systems
- Identify changes to the Information Systems which are affecting the work of various groups of users and train these users on the changes
- Develop and update user manuals
Role requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, business administration, or a related field with technology as a core component
- Minimum five years’ experience in Data Processing, System Analysis Design, and Operations with strategic planning experience in a commercial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Previous experience with Oracle NetSuite, ticketing, merchandise, Point-Of-Sale systems a plus
- Retail and eCommerce experience a plus
- Having managed an IT team of hardware and software personnel or vendors a plus
- Programming experience a plus.
