Insight Analyst

Our client is an international financial services company that is looking to grow their presence and team in Singapore with the hire of an Insight Analyst – who will play a central role in showcasing and sharing this knowledge with both internal and external customers, enabling further value to be created from new projects and ideas. The insight analyst will work closely with the Data Scientists, Analysts and BI Developers to maximise every single work that is produced by this business unit. A pivotal role and hire for their Singapore office as they look to strengthen their presence in the Asia market.

Key responsibilities

  • Continuously assess, and constructively interrogate, all workstack projects to identify and capture findings, develop further hypotheses and formulate insights with wider implications and relevance
  • Create a framework for capturing project outcomes and findings, using these as a basis for compelling product descriptions and case studies to engage prospective internal and external customers
  • Create a series of knowledge maps for key topics (eg, alternative credit, churn, restructuring) from both internal projects and external sources, using gaps to create new briefs and hypotheses to test
  • Monitor and asses continuous performance dashboards from around the company to create regular reports, identifying the drivers and root causes of observed performance changes
  • Run sessions to facilitate the sharing of knowledge across the wider company
  • Identify, monitor and share useful external sources of data and analytics innovation, building out understanding of competitor data products and capabilities
  • Identify innovative applications of data analytics techniques across Financial Services and other industry sectors, summarizing news stories and case studies and stimulating assessment of how the company could leverage these innovations.

Role requirements

  • A degree in a quantitative, data-related field, including a statistical module would be an advantage for this role
  • Project based role within a Market Research or Analytics agency environment, creating and presenting insights to external customers
  • Proven ability to simplify complex data into meaningful insights and conceptual models that explain the underlying drivers of results and enable action to be taken
  • Experience creating impactful materials for communicating and gaining support for insights, both as written papers and as presentations in Powerpoint
