Key responsibilities

To oversee the inception and evolution of a Big Data Competency including onboarding the required resources to build the capability.
Define the strategic direction for this competency and to deliver Big data solutions to key programs within the department.
Perform a Leadership role for the India and in the delivery of various strategic projects.
Lead and manage teams comprised of Employees and Contingent Workforce, evaluate, and optimize team structure and performance, partner with senior level IT and business stakeholders,
To develop and deploy solutions to some of the most challenging analytical problem.
To communicate with senior level leaders to present strategic opportunities towards Big Data and Analytics.

Role requirements

Experience of 17+ with 10+ years of related experience with accountability for building and leading teams of Data scientists, Data engineers, data analysts, etc. and delivering Big Data solutions.
Solid experience with Big Data platform covering, Hadoop, Spark, Impala, HBase, No-SQL DB, HIVE, Kafka using Java.
Expert level knowledge in Big Data Architecture Strategy, Big Data performance tuning and ensuring best practices across projects.
Deep understanding of public cloud technologies (Google/AWS/Azure), cloud architecture principles, IaaS, PaaS, serverless/containers, and cloud migration strategies.
