Key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the CISO team in India, own accountability for India security governance and embedding group Standards, acting as key point of contact for ensuring optimal embedding of CISO capabilities across India.
  • Support the operation of the federated cyber security model.
  • Support the development, maintenance of security related policies, standards, controls, technologies, and architecture across all business units.
  • Not to recreate CSO capabilities/programs. Ensure they meet business needs, embed them, and ensure value is realized.
  • Enable the business. Partner with BU teams to enable and embed security in their processes and operations.
  • Deliver group cyber security program into other functions, interlocking between group CSO teams and BU transaction cycles and functions processes/teams.
  • Ownership of cyber risk at the intersection between Horizontal and BU vertical to ensure business risk is appropriately considered and managed. Drive culture of risk reduction rather than exceptions.

Role requirements

  • Experience of operating a Global Cyber and Information Security control’s function.
  • Experience in working within the information and cyber security field, including systems audit or internal controls, that are relevant to our business and financial services.
  • Significant experience in leading and managing large teams within a complex matrix environment across multiple geographies.
  • Preparation and presentation of high-quality material.
  • Influencing and negotiating skills in the context of risk management.
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders through strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of consolidating a fragmented landscape – technology and processes.
  • Relevant information risk e.g. CISA, CISSP or Project management qualifications e.g. PRINCE2 would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory environment would be beneficial.
