Key responsibilities
- Build, deploy and manage large scale production Kubernetes clusters.
- Create, consult on and review architectural decisions of infrastructure projects/products.
- Build and maintain the firm’s critical IT infrastructure in AWS cloud.
- Safeguard the firm’s and its customers’ data.
- Minimize the risk of system failures and ensure that controls are in place to detect failures.
- Work with tech teams to ensure infrastructure scales dynamically based on the usage pattern.
- Mentor engineers to build new areas of competency.
Role requirements
- 8+ years of experience in system administration
- Experience in setting up and managing production Kubernetes cluster
- Strong understanding of containers and container runtimes
- Strong experience in any one programming language (Preferably Python)
- Good knowledge of Linux, Web Technologies, and Cloud (Preferably AWS)
- Experience with tools and processes that will help you manage, understand, and debug large, complex distributed systems
- Attention to detail and quality, and the ability to work well in and across teams
