Key responsibilities

  • Innovate frequently to keep the Design team at the forefront of digital design, synthesizing the latest thinking and applying it to the unique circumstances of the bank. For example, developing new, improved experience & interaction patterns for users.
  • Assist with the strategy for the Customer Experience at the bank to ensure we are positioned to confront the changes and developments in banking and customer experience in the coming 2-5 years.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly knowledgeable and skilled at the practice of Customer Experience and be able to define and lead forward-thinking customer experiences that put the bank at the pinnacle of customer focused design practices.
  • Expert communications to all levels of bank, from junior design teams to senior colleagues. Including presenting work, negotiating timelines and workloads, inputting on the business strategy for digital projects and products. This will include presentations and reports, often highly detailed, but easy to understand and convincing.
  • Analyze user research and data to inform the design process and apply it to user experiences.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of highly scalable, adaptable, and efficient software solutions while taking into account prevailing constraints and the future strategic direction.
  • Collaborating within a project team comprised of hardworking employees with diverse and complementary skills.

Role requirements

  • User Experience, Interaction Design, User Interface Designing, Prototyping in banking domain. Understanding of user journey of banking process flow would be a big plus.
  • Complete UX skill set: design thinking, workshop facilitation, identifying customer problem statements, problem discovery, solution generation, concept creation, wire-framing, testing, synthesis, iteration, prototyping, heuristic evaluation, and competitive analysis, customer journey mapping, applying design systems and producing for development.
  • Visual Design, Typography is an advantage
  • Clickable prototyping/wire framing software like Sketch, Adobe Xd, Axure.
  • Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator is a plus.
  • General awareness of technology mediums (i.e., JavaScript, HTML/CSS) including differences between them.
  • Proficient in story and backlog management tools and resources such as JIRA.
  • A team-player who can engage with a wide range of people, who’s not afraid to call out when things aren’t going right and can make decisions based on a range of data and insight.
  • Engage with colleagues of all levels, as well as phenomenal listener who can accommodate a range of views from different people.
