Key responsibilities
Reporting into the Head of Legal and Compliance, the incumbent will:
- Advise on all legal issues and provide recommendations for HK Branch that is compliant to the firm and industry’s rules & regulations
- Review and advise on relevant legal documentations related to financial markets/derivatives, bilateral/syndicated loans, asset/project financing, DCM, general corporate commercial, etc.
- Work closely with Business, Compliance other control functions to ensure the relevant legal risks are managed accordingly
- Work with external counsels as needed
- Assist with any litigation or investigation matters as required
- Keep abreast of the legal policies/updates and provide relevant training to staff as needed
Role requirements
- A relevant degree in Law and at least 7+ PQE from common law jurisdiction
- Experience from both in-house and/or international law firm
- Experience from financial services/banking is a must; corporate banking capacity is advantageous
- Banking & finance/lending and ISDA documentation experience is a must
- Proficiency in English and Chinese is a must
