Key responsibilities

  • Be the face and brand of the agency in Malaysia; grow the network and market the brand to existing and new potential clients
  • Maintain and grow the pipeline of new business
  • Provide exemplary senior counsel to clients; grow and nurture client relationships
  • Lead, mentor and motivate teams
  • Win new business and ensure extraordinary work for clients
  • Provide support to other offices and practices, as needed
  • Serve as a member of SEA senior management team
  • Take on senior management responsibilities that support rebuild and scaling of the Malaysia office
  • Full ownership of the P&L

Role requirements

  • Outstanding English verbal and written communication skills – a strong writer and editor. Would be a huge plus if able to speak, read and write in Bahasa Malaysia
  • Strong leadership, mentoring skills and team-building ability
  • Create a productive work environment for employees
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments/projects
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong understanding in social media and the integration of digital marketing into the PR ecosystem
  • Understand how and when to delegate tasks and clients to team members
  • Understand and practice financial management techniques (cost savings and profit growth)
  • Demonstrate client relations and strategic thinking
  • A track record of retention and the profitable growth of existing accounts
  • An excellent problem-solver and decision-maker
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for growth

  • Previous PR and Digital agency management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect and win new business
  • Demonstrate an expert understanding of the PR and Digital PR craft and clients’ business.
