Associate Director, Business and Client Services ( Capital Markets)

An International Bank is looking to bring on board an Associate Director, Business and Client Services. This candidate will support the APAC markets. The ideal candidate would provide business and client support as well as management of the APAC Cash Equities, Futures & Options, Fixed Income and Currency’s (FICC/FX), Treasury Market Services and Australia Equities. The candidate would have to manage a large team. This position is open to Malaysian only.

Key responsibilities

  • Active management of the Business and Client Services teams to ensure optimum processing, quality of service and productivity are achieved.
  • Ensure all daily processing, settlement & clearing tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner while following established procedures and policies.
  • Ensure all funding and liquidity tasks are completed, investigated, and resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Preparation & completion of annual & semi-annual Performance Reviews.
  • Conduct recruitment interviews and ensure new recruits have the desired technical skills and attitudes.
  • Ensure all monthly/quarterly processes are completed as needed.
  • Seek to mitigate and minimize risks inherent in the Business and Client Services Department by following agreed processes.
  • Assist with any preparation of Auditing either internally or externally.
  • Assist with Projects focused within the team as well as any UAT testing.
  • Look for key areas for improvement and development to ensure a more streamlined department.
  • Have excellent communication with team members and encourage development and cross-training within the group to achieve a great team dynamic.
  • Ensure Senior Management are notified as appropriate on any items that need escalation and review.
  • Seek to improve productivity by positively challenging the status quo.
  • Perform investigation across APAC Regulatory reporting.

Role requirements

  • Minimum 8 years people management experience and robust operations experience in APAC Cash Equities F&O, FICC, FX, Treasury Market Services
  • Strong working knowledge in SWIFT, Real Time Payment Systems.
  • Experience in IPO, ECM issuance.
  • Ability to complete ad-hoc tasks and project deliverables by deadlines and achieve performance targets set.
  • Minimal risks events.
  • Experience in liaising with global offices/different time zones
