Our client is a fastest growing leading international investment Bank. Due to continuous growth in the region, they are expanding their Bangalore team. Hence, they are looking to hire an individual who oversees the support functions who brings 6 to 12 years of experience working in international banks.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing independent assurance of effectiveness of management’s control of business activities.
  • Working with groups other control functions such as finance, Risk and Compliance.
  • Primarily help the board and executive management to the protect the assets, reputation, and sustainability of the group.
  • Evaluating and communicating information about the activity or process being examined.
  • Adhering to the Definition of Internal Auditing, the Core Principles for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, Code of Ethics, and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing that are published by the IIA.
  • Continuous monitoring of assigned countries / portfolio areas, and to build and maintain engagement with stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding and developing an environment in which positive behaviors are celebrated and poor culture is challenged.
  • To execute assigned audit work, as well as the work carried out by the team, in an efficient and effective manner, within the given budget and timelines, and in line with GIA methodology standards.
  • To identify the risks and impact of issues during issue writing, agreeing these issues with management and obtaining quality management action plans to mitigate the risks raised.

Role requirements

  • Experience in audit, governance, risk or in a business environment.
  • Professional audit certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Support Functions regulatory environment.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with an ability to influence and an ability to gain the respect of senior management, regional stakeholders, peers, and their teams.
  • Confident and courageous to raise/escalate issues in a pro-active, professional, and timely manner.
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimum supervision. Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the Group’s core values.
