Our client, leading financial institution are actively seeking an experienced individual to be part of their Product Control team primarily responsible for understanding, substantiating and controlling the daily trading balance sheet and income statement.

Key responsibilities

  • Management of a team of product controllers in the production and validation of the P&L and Balance Sheet including the production of daily P&L, Balance sheet review and sign off and the production and review of relevant quarterly accounting disclosures.
  • Review and management of key control processes for various financial products PC including the management of key performance indicators for the business, working with the onshore PC team to improve the overall control environment in a commercial manner
  • Oversight of the production of reliable and significant financial information for the business managers, product control management and other relevant business partners
  • Coordinating and managing responses to requests from the business, regulators, audit, and internal partners (Risk, Legal Entity Finance etc.)

Role requirements

  • 15 plus years of relevant experience in product control managing equities, derivatives, or currencies.
  • Good understanding of products and associated risks.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability in setting direction and prioritization.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills required to be successful in this role.
  • Strong inter-personal skills and evidence of working across teams and geographies to produce timely and accurate output.
  • Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
