Accounting Manager (IFRS)

Our client is a private investment firm with an asset portfolio of over USD 2 billion comprising of public market and private equity investments across varied sectors. The Group, which is headquartered in Singapore, has a presence in India, Europe and Dubai, among other jurisdictions.

This role will be responsible for all accounting, audit, direct & indirect tax, corporate and other related compliance matters and will take charge of corresponding / coordinating with banks, auditors and other third party service providers, as well as internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and finalize standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (SFRS, Indian GAAP, IFRS) in co‐ordination with local accounting teams and auditors.
  • Account for public market investments in listed and unlisted securities, including equities, fixed income products, financial derivatives, interest rate and cross currency swaps and other similar structured products.
  • Prepare / review XBRL and other regulatory filings with for e.g., ACRA, SBF etc.
  • Prepare tax computation, complete questionnaires, and related party disclosure sheets for ECI, Form C and Form T filing for the Group’s Singapore‐incorporated companies and respond to any queries raised by regulatory authorities.
  • Budgeting and forecasting, including cash position reporting and planning at Group level across multiple companies and bank accounts.

Role requirements

  • Chartered Accountant with 3-6 years of experience in the financial services sector with a reputable accounting firm or a similar profile.
  • Candidate should be expert competency in the applicable accounting standards for including IFRS and SFRS. Knowledge of Indian GAAP will be of advantage.
  • Extensive work experience in direct and indirect tax compliance matters with exposure to DTA, cross border transactions and transfer pricing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, accounting software and databases.
