Strategy Director

Our client is a marketing and technology solutions provider known for generating positive outcomes from high-impact digital experiences. With 400 people across 9 markets in Asia Pacific, they support Marketing and Information Technology teams to gain a competitive advantage by bridging the gaps between strategy and execution. In Asia, they offer four dedicated practices: Digital Transformation Consulting; Platform & Technology Delivery; Creative Services; and Growth Marketing & Analytics.

They are currently on the lookout for an outstanding Strategy Director to join their team in Malaysia.

The role of the Strategy Director is to plan and execute impactful marketing programs by connecting client business objectives to relevant offerings in creative advertising, content marketing, experience design, performance media, search engine optimization, analytics, and marketing technologies.

Strategy is at the heart of their offering – this role will be the thinker and integrator in the agency, putting together strategies built on data, research, insight and experience. This role will report to the Regional Head of Marketing practice and will manage a team of strategists. They will also work with Analysts and Consultants in the CX & Marketing Technology practice to align on integrated client briefs and create a holistic strategy offering for the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Research & Insight – Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, identify key insights that drive creative communication and digital marketing strategies.
  • Strategic Guidance – Depending on the brief, deliver strong brand, channel, media and/or communication strategies.
  • Client Collaboration – Work with clients and the account team to identify key objectives, report on results and manage relationships.
  • Leadership – Lead a team of strategists and planners and grow the discipline within the practice.

Role requirements

  • Digital Marketing – Experience in digital agencies and developing large digital campaigns.
  • Strategic Planning – Leading or integral to strategic consultancy engagements from start to finish making use of design-thinking techniques, methodologies, consumer research, or other transformative approaches.
  • Growth Mindset – Passionate about learning and creating feedback loops that connect client work, our own business growth, personal development and beyond.
