Head of Performance

The Head of Performance is responsible for working with the Performance Marketing team to ensure that all key client accounts managed by him/her, and their team cluster have a robust commercial strategy in place, meeting specific performance targets and objectives tailored to meet or exceed the business and commercial expectations of the client and of the agency.

Key responsibilities

  • People Management – Mentoring, training, and leading a team comprising of Senior Managers, Managers, Sr. Executives and Executives and owning responsibility for key performance accounts.
  • Delegation and assignment of work/clients among the teams.
  • Monitor performance trends, best practices, and techniques to keep up to date on channel knowledge.
  • Tracking and training team members and internal clients on channel knowledge sessions, technical aspects, tagging, tracking, integration with analytics, GTM & App 3rd party tools.
  • Ownership on key account briefs and attending meetings with Client servicing/Account management team as channel experts. Strategic and executional expertise and management of performance campaigns.
  • Analyze client campaigns trends as well as qualitative and quantitative data to recommend campaign changes and updates to clients and account teams.
  • Recommend benchmarks, KPI estimates & media recommendations for client campaign and new business opportunities, running regular team scrums for performance team, keeping KPI’s targets intact.

Role requirements

  • Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on experience preferably in an agency environment.
  • Proficient working knowledge on Google AdWords (SEM, GDN & YT), Facebook, LinkedIn Ads & Twitter Ads.
  • Advanced knowledge and proven experience in planning and executing SEM, Display, YT, and Paid Social Campaigns.
  • Mentoring and managing a medium size team of Performance experts.
  • Business acumen with ability to assist business teams with proposals and meeting preparation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, well versed with reporting tools – Supermetrics, Data studio etc.
  • Google & Facebook Certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Monitoring web analytics dashboards, reports, and key reporting tools, and point out key areas of importance in accordance to client goals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix tracking tags & website analytics issues.
  • Ability to develop cross channel marketing strategies to improve ROI for clients.
