VP – Finance Business Partner (Cost Management – Corporate & Investment Banking)

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process, influencing and challenging the business/top-down submissions by product and segment.
• Monitoring, understanding, and challenging of performance for Corporate Banking/Investment Banking Operations.
• Manage the month end process.
• Provision of meaningful and insightful analysis on costs. To include explanation of key variances and preparation of commentaries on functional performance.
• Developing and maintaining an appropriate MIS reporting infrastructure produced by the offshore team to assist in the assessment of functional performance.
• Provision of advisory support with respect to development of strategic plans / annual business plans and new product development from a financial perspective.
• Develop and enhance relationships with Corporate Banking/Investment Banking Finance and other teams within the Group to ensure consistency of support, approach, and knowledge sharing.
• Involvement in Technology & Operations Finance and Group Finance projects.
• Review and enhance financial controls to minimize finance operational risk.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including the migration of activities to offshore support team.
