Finance Manager (Shared Services – Payroll)

Partnering our client, in renewable energy to hire a: Finance Assistant Manager/ Manager (Shared Services – Payroll). This role sits within the Finance Shared Services Team that manages the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Payroll & Settlements functions for a group of companies, to ensure accurate and prompt delivery of payroll & finance related services.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end payroll operations and statutory requirements for payroll processing services including grant/ claims administration.
  • Perform payroll month-end journals, accruals, reconciliations & schedules, and billings for intercompany recoveries such as transfers, secondment arrangements etc.
  • Prepare and review payroll management reports, key manpower variances and exceptions for P/L & B/S manpower items and budgets.
  • Liaise with HR, Finance, Internal Auditors, External Auditors & External Organizations (such as Co-operatives, Insurance companies, CPF Board, etc.) on payroll & finance related matters, funding & audits.
  • Handle system enhancements including user acceptance testing for payroll related system patches, upgrades &/or changes arising from company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Support Finance shared services functions & undertake projects and assignments as may be directed from time to time.

Role requirements

  • Degree in Accounting & Finance with min 5 years’ experience in payroll processing matters with some working knowledge previously in finance &/ accounting functions.
  • Strong excel, problem-solving, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritize work tasks and work within tight deadlines & resolve issues independently.
  • Knowledge in SAP Financial & HR Management, Employee Central (Success Factors) and Business Planning & Consolidation systems will be an advantage.
