Senior Leader Valuation Head

Our client is leading international bank seeking a Valuation Control Head – to lead a team in Mumbai.

Looking for candidates who have experience into Private Equity, Credit and Real Assets portfolio valuation for 15+ years.

This is for a senior leadership role working with very senior stakeholders and possess great collaborative skills to work in partnership with the teams.

Key responsibilities

Facilitate the Valuation Process in the Private Equity, Credit, and Real Assets segments.
Value and analyze financial instruments and complex corporate securities and alternative assets.
Validate and update valuation models as well as inputs and assess applicable methodologies.
Be a part of the Governance committees, teams and produce senior management reports summarizing the results of the fund’s performance to share it with Senior Management and potential investors etc.
Perform advisory valuation services to various business units on an ad hoc basis.
Work closely with compliance, SOX, and external audit teams.

Role requirements

Experience in building valuation models (DCF, Market approach and Option Models).
Experience with capital markets/credit valuations preferred (ex. illiquid investments, bank loans, mezzanine loans, and private equity).
Demonstrated technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of Alternative Investment strategies and products.
Familiarity with financial services applications (CapIQ, Bloomberg, etc.) a plus.
Minimum of 15 years of related work experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. Alternatively, Computer science or engineering degree.
CFA professional designation or working towards preferred but not required.
Experience working in a matrix management environment is highly desirable.
