AVP – Business Manager – (Rates & FX)

Our client is a leading International bank, with a strong presence in Singapore and across the region.

They are looking for an AVP Business Manager to join their Emerging Markets business, specifically supporting on Rates and FX Trading. This role will support the business on strategy, budgeting, cost control, change management, regulatory reform and front office technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the heads of Rates Trading business across APAC, helping to drive the strategic agenda.
  • Acting as a point of contact for external partners, including clearing houses, trading venues and compression providers.
  • Acting as a point of contact and escalation for internal stakeholders across Rates trading
  • Coordinating of Risk and Control Meetings, identifying areas for improvements in the Control Environment and implementing remediation plans
  • Maintaining close connectivity and coordination with peer network, ensuring distribution of business updates and co-ordination on joint initiatives
  • Analyzing of financial trends, profitability, capital/ returns and costs to identify efficiencies

Providing business planning and budgeting, invoice approvals, and expense management

Role requirements

  • Degree educated with 2:1, CPA/CA /CFA qualifications preferred but not a must
  • Good knowledge of Banking and Financial Products
  • Excellent knowledge of Front to Back trade life cycle of Rates and FX products as well as its key control points
  • Prior Business Manager experience is strongly desired but not essential
